All KPSAHS certificate programs require applicants to meet the following minimum criteria and successful completion of program-specific prerequisites:

Requirements for Applying to Bachelor’s Degree ProgramsAll KPSAHS bachelor’s degree programs require completion of an AA or AS degree, payment of a $65.00 application fee, proof of in-person job shadowing or completion of the Job Shadowing Writing Assignment, and successful completion of program-specific prerequisite courses. Minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average requirements vary by program.
Proof of current COVID-19 vaccination is also required. Letters of exemption from the COVID-19 vaccination will not be considered.

If you are applying to a KPSAHS bachelor’s degree program, you must have already earned a minimum of an AA or AS (or higher degree) at an institution approved by a regional, national, or specialized accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. (AAS and AOS degrees do not meet this requirement.)
Your cumulative GPA must meet the minimum GPA requirement for your program of choice. A CGPA is calculated by weighing the CGPAs from each institution attended by credits earned and adjusting for the difference between semester and quarter credits (1.0 semester credit = 1.5 quarter credits). Calculations will be made based on all official transcripts submitted.
All bachelor’s degree programs require payment of a $65 application fee at the time of application.
Job shadowing is required for all bachelor’s degree programs. There are two options available to satisfy the job shadowing requirement and applicants are welcome to choose either option. (Note: KPSAHS does not provide applicants with assistance in securing opportunities for in-person job shadowing.)
Identification of prerequisite courses for each program are shown below and can also be found in the KPSAHS Catalog under Programs of Study.
If you are applying to the KPSAHS Master of Science in Counseling, , Marriage & Family Therapy program you must have already earned a BA or BS (or higher degree) from a regionally accredited institution before you apply and your cumulative GPA must meet the minimum GPA requirement.
The Counseling program also requires applicants to submit a written essay. Requirements for the essay can be found at Admissions Essay Master of Science in Counseling.

Official TranscriptsEffective May 5, 2020, applicants to all programs may submit their Official Transcripts electronically or by U.S. Mail.
Some students may need to submit TOEFL scores as evidence they have met the KPSAHS Required English Proficiency policy. Refer to the KPSAHS Academic Catalogfor detailed information.
If TOEFL® scores are required to meet the English Language Proficiency requirements, KPSAHS prefers that scores be submitted electronically through the Educational Testing Service (ETS); our code number is D077.
